Eel Pie Night at Eel Pie Club: THE OTHERS and THE CARNABYS

The first of 2 nights at The Eel Pie Club as part of ‘Eelpiland – The Birth of Rhythm & Blues’

THE OTHERS are formed from the 60s cult band working the Rhythm & Blues club circuit around Richmond, Surrey (and notably on Eel Pie Island) at a time when The Stones and The Yardbirds started to penetrate pop consciousness, The Others in 2013 mark a return to the dark and dirty roots that came as such a shock to conventional sensibilities. Paul Stewart, Peter Hammerton and Robert Tolchard front-line the band, backed by drummer Geoff Coxon.   www.theothers.org.uk.

THE CARNABYS are a young Twickenham band who have just won the global Hard Rock Rising Competition organised by Absolute Radio, coming first out of 12,000, and are the first band outside the US to win http://www.thecarnabys.com/
